8 maart 2012Kunnen wij dat? Is het oordeel van de expert waarde vrij? Hoe erg zijn die milieu-risico’s nu eigenlijk? Worden we ziek van luchtverontreiniging? Krijgen we kanker van elektro-magnetische velden van mobiele telefonie, of leukemie van hoogspanningslijnen. Is er reden voor voorzorg bij onzekere risico’s? En zijn onze experts wel waardevrij in hun oordeel? Gaan we als maatschappij nuchter om met risico’s? De muziek wordt deze avond verzorgd door Bertram Coenraats. Hij speelt akoestische blues. Met het verstrijken van de jaren is Johnny Cash een groeiende inspiratie bron. Ook Townes Van Zandt en Emmylou Harris spelen een grote rol in zijn leven als muziekant. Naast de nodige bewerkingen is er ook ruimte voor eigen werk. De avond start om 17.30 uur met de mogelijkheid om te eten (€ 9,95) in Natuurcafé La Porte. Reserveren kan via 0343 -54788. Erik Lebret studied environmental health sciences at the University of Wageningen, where he also did his doctorate thesis on exposure to air pollution in the Dutch housing stock. In 1986, he spent a year as visiting research associate at the Harvard School of Public Health working on errors and misclassification problems in exposure assessment and their effect on exposure-response relations. Over the years, he worked on a variety of environment and health issues and impact assessments in national and international projects. Prof. Lebret was principal investigator in a number of international multi-centre studies. He has served on a series of national and international expert committees and review panels in Europe and the USA.

Erik Lebret (1953), Ph.D. is professor in Environmental Health Impact Assessment at the Institute of Risk Assessment Sciences (IRAS) at Utrecht University and Chief Scientist of the Division of Environment and Safety at the National Institute of Public Health and the Environmental (RIVM), Bilthoven, The Netherlands.
